Figure 1. Build Your Own Portfolios
|
Generally speaking,
the stock investment process can be divided into three steps (1) Research
including stock selection, technical and fundamental analysis, and market data
analysis, etc. The outcome of the research is a list of potential stocks that
you would like to add in your watch lists. (2) Portfolio build.
Construct your portfolio from the stocks in your watch lists. (3)
Portfolio management. Because of frequent market changes, your portfolio needs
to be rebalanced periodically based on the predefined buy/sell rules. This
site is designed to help investors to accomplish the 3 steps above easily
and efficiently. The Workflow for building your own portfolios is
illustrated as in Figure 1.
Browse
The browse section is designed for
finding new trading opportunities and developing trading strategies. We
organized stocks in a hierarchy structure with the top levels being sector,
industry, index component group, down to the individual stocks. With this
ladder structure, you can easily browse a group of the stocks. For example, you
can start with top performance industries using Industry Ranking, and then use
Sector & Industry browser to thoroughly analyze the stocks within the top
industries. You can also use the index component browser and ETF browser. Let's
say you would like to look for stocks within the Russell 1000 (mid cap, growth)
group in particular, you can start with the Russell 1000 index component, then
scan the mini-charts or use filter to narrow down the results until you find
your preferred stocks. If you find any stocks of interest, you can simply add
them to a Watchlist with just a click of the mouse.
Scan
Scan is an exceptionally useful tool to
find new trading opportunities in any market condition. There are four types of
scan available. They are Custom Scan, Correlation Scan, Trend Scan and ETF
Scan.
Using the Custom Scan, you can scan
stocks based on the following criteria: Company basic,
Groups(exchange,sector/industry,Index Components), Price range, Liquidity,
Technicals (MACD, RSI, Bolinger Bands, Stochastic, MFI,CCI etc.) and
Fundamentals (Analyst Ratings, EPS, Revenue Growth, ROE, ROA, Revenue growth,
PE, Dividend, etc).
We developed a quantitative model to
calculate stock trendline values. The trend values are updated and ranked
every trade day after market closes. Trend ranking is a relative trend
measurement vs. other stocks in the stock universe. Using the Trend Scan, you
can find stocks with relatively higher price movement.
The Correlation Scan helps to identify
relationships among stocks. It offers a metric for comparing the movement of a
specific stock with other stocks and market indices.
The ETF Scan is exclusively designed for ETFs. You can
define your scan criteria by fund category, price range,
volume, short-term and long-term performance, and technicals.
After performing the scan, you can do the following
with the scan results
-
Save and reload your scan
-
Visually scan results with mini-charts
-
Back-testing performance
-
Sort the scan results
-
Save scan results to your Watch List
-
Continue your analysis with Analyze feature
Analyze
The Analyze section is designed for in-depth technical
and fundamnetal analysis of a stock. Technical analysis includes most
of the popular technical studies: MACD, RSI, MOMENTUM, STOCHASTICS, MFI, CCI,
and Bollinger Band etc. With the fundamental charts, Fundamental analysis
is easier than ever. You can look at fundamental charts in Revenue, EBIT, EPS,
Profit margin, ROE, ROA, Debt/Equity ratio, Revenue growth, Earning growth etc.
as shown in the figure below.
